Key Takeaways

  • Best overall: a local setup with Wan 2.2. Open weights under Apache 2.0, run in ComfyUI on your own GPU, with no one else's filter between you and the output.

  • Best online option: Mage. Far fewer restrictions than mainstream tools, with the Mage-exclusive Cherry 2 Pro, unlimited plans, video LoRAs and private-by-default generations.

  • Best for fully explicit content: Promptchan and Candy.ai. Both allow more than any other tool here, but give you less creative control.

  • No GPU? Rent one. ThinkDiffusion runs ComfyUI in the cloud, so you get a local-style workflow without the hardware.

  • "Uncensored" never means no rules. Every option here bans real people's likenesses without consent and anything involving minors, and some model licenses ban explicit output even on your own machine.

Why mainstream video tools block so much

Mainstream video generators such as Kling, Hailuo and PixVerse ban sexual content in their terms, and the filters that enforce it are blunt. They catch far more than they're meant to: a romantic scene, a fantasy character in revealing armor, a horror shot with some blood, a fight sequence, a figure study, a music video with mature themes. For filmmakers, artists and storytellers, that means a lot of rejected prompts for work that's nowhere near explicit.

The tools below get around that in two ways. Some remove the provider's filter entirely, because you run the model yourself. Others draw the line much further out. Each entry says where its line sits. One rule holds everywhere: no real people without consent, and nothing involving minors.

How we picked

  • Content freedom. What each tool allows, from mature themes and artistic nudity to fully explicit output, and how clearly its rules say so.

  • Quality and control. Clip length, resolution, image-to-video, characters and LoRA support.

  • Privacy. Whether generations are private, and where your prompts and files go.

  • Price. What a month of real use costs. We checked each tool's documentation, pricing and terms, and the model licenses, on October 8, 2026.

1. A local setup with Wan 2.2 - the most freedom

Running an open-weight model on your own machine is the only way to remove the provider from the loop entirely. The strongest choice for this is Wan 2.2, released under the Apache 2.0 license, which allows commercial use. Its smaller TI2V-5B model makes 720p clips at 24fps on a 24GB card, and ComfyUI's official workflows can offload it onto less memory. Clips run about five seconds.

The draw is LoRAs: community add-ons that teach the model a character, a style or a look, so the same character holds from shot to shot. Wan's base training data was filtered, so more mature output also comes from LoRAs, most of which now live on civitai.red, Civitai's site for mature models. HunyuanVideo 1.5 from Tencent is the main alternative, running in about 14GB with offloading, though its license doesn't apply in the EU, the UK or South Korea.

Check the license before picking any other model. Lightricks' LTX-2.5 is open-weight, but its acceptable use policy bans sexually explicit content and explicitly covers on-premises use, so it isn't an uncensored option even on your own hardware.

Best for: Technical creators with a capable GPU who want complete control.

Content rules: Set by you, the model license and the LoRAs you use.

Price: Free software; the cost is a GPU with 16GB to 24GB of memory or more.

2. Mage - the best online option

Mage is the closest thing to a local setup without the hardware, and it allows much of what mainstream tools refuse, from romance and fantasy to horror and mature storytelling. Its Pro plan includes unlimited generations, within length and resolution caps, on Wan 2.2, LTX, MiniMax-H3 and the Mage-exclusive Melon and Lemon models, and higher tiers add more, up to Cherry 2 Pro, Mage's flagship video model and also a Mage exclusive. Cherry 2 Pro makes clips from 4 to 30 seconds at up to 1080p, with Characters, voices, audio references and a first-frame image.

It also covers the things local users care about. You can add video LoRAs to Wan 2.2 and MiniMax-H3, import LoRAs from Civitai or Hugging Face on Pro Plus and Max, build reusable Characters, and every generation is private by default. You own what you create and can use it commercially on every plan.

Best for: Creators who want many models, LoRAs and recurring characters without running their own GPU.

Content rules: Mature themes and artistic nudity; no pornographic content or real people without consent.

Price: Pro is $30 a month (video starts here), Pro Plus $60, Max $200. A one-time 300-Gem free allocation lets you test it. As of October 2026.

3. Promptchan - explicit clips with no setup

Promptchan is built for adult content, so it allows fully explicit output, and every plan includes uncensored images. Video, along with clip extension and voice, is on its Pro plan only.

It's quick to get going, with no setup and a free tier for images. It doesn't publish clip length or resolution, and it gives you far less control than a model-level tool. Its policy bans non-consensual deepfakes.

Best for: Explicit clips with no setup.

Content rules: Fully explicit content allowed; non-consensual deepfakes banned.

Price: Free tier for images; Pro, which includes video, is $33.99 a month. As of October 2026.

4. Candy.ai - scenes with AI companions

Candy.ai is an AI companion app, and its video builder strings together up to 10 scenes for its characters from a set of presets. It allows fully explicit scenes and suits people who already use its companions. The catch is control: you're limited to its characters and presets, so it's a poor fit for your own characters or story.

You can't upload images, so there's no image-to-video. Its blocked content policy has zero tolerance for deepfakes and real-person likenesses and bans anything resembling minors.

Best for: Scenes with its built-in companions.

Content rules: Fully explicit content allowed; no real people, no image uploads.

Price: Subscription; check Candy.ai for current pricing.

5. ThinkDiffusion - a local workflow without the GPU

If you want the control of entry #1 but don't own a big graphics card, ThinkDiffusion rents you a cloud machine with ComfyUI already installed. You load Wan 2.2 or HunyuanVideo and your own LoRAs, and pay by the hour.

You still handle workflows and models yourself, and long sessions add up. Read its terms before generating mature material, and note that not every GPU host allows it: RunPod's terms, for example, ban pornographic content.

Best for: Local-style control without buying a GPU.

Content rules: Set by you within the host's terms.

Price: About $0.99 an hour for a 16GB machine, or $19.99 to $59.99 a month on subscription. As of October 2026.

What we left off

  • Kling, Hailuo and PixVerse. Strong video models, but their terms ban sexual content.

  • Grok Imagine. xAI hasn't published clear rules for its Spicy mode, and its limits have shifted during 2026.

  • Venice. Private and permissive for text and images, but its listed adult support covers images, not video.

Which one fits

  • You have a 16GB to 24GB GPU and want no limits but your own: a local Wan 2.2 setup.

  • You want an online tool with real creative control: Mage.

  • You want fully explicit clips with no setup: Promptchan, or Candy.ai for scenes with its companions.

  • You want ComfyUI but don't own the hardware: ThinkDiffusion.
